I love being a lawyer.
Family law can be one of the most challenging areas of practice. Clients call me upset, anxious, and sometimes just plain freaking out. I’m the person you turn to when there’s a problem in your family. I understand how emotional and complicated these situations can be. I’m here not only to guide you through tough times but also to stand up for you and protect what matters most.
I love Northwest Arkansas.
There’s truly no better place to live and practice law than Northwest Arkansas. I live in Fayetteville with my husband, Aaron, and we love everything this corner of the state has to offer—from beautiful hiking trails and world-class fishing to incredible restaurants, museums, and of course, our beloved Arkansas Razorbacks. We couldn’t be happier to call this city home.
When I’m not in the courtroom, you can often find me on the tennis court. I’ve played competitive tennis since childhood and still love the focus, strategy, and resilience the game requires. That same drive fuels my legal practice every day.
I started in Little Rock.
After moving to Little Rock from Pine Bluff, I graduated with honors from Mount Saint Mary Academy, then attended Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, where I earned cum laude honors with majors in political science and philosophy and a minor in pre-law. I went on to graduate with honors and distinction from the University of Arkansas William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock.
While in law school, I clerked for Little Rock District Court Judge Alice Lightle and authored a published legal reference work, The Arkansas Circuit Court Judges’ Benchbook. I began my legal career at Howerton Law Firm in Fayetteville, then practiced at Webb Law Office in Springdale before founding Leslie Copeland Law in 2018. I became a certified attorney ad litem in 2016 and a certified mediator in 2019.
I am a leader.
I am the Past President of the Washington County Bar Association and continue to serve as a leader in my local legal community. I have served many leadership roles in the Arkansas Bar Association, including as a Trustee and as the Chair of the Family Law Section, and have twice received the prestigious Golden Gavel Award for my service to the profession. I regularly teach other lawyers through Continuing Legal Education on topics including family law case updates, legal technology, and domestic relations mediation, and have also taught classes at Northwest Arkansas Community College.
In 2024, I was named as a member of the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40.
I practice law in a new and better way, with you, my client, at the center of everything I do.
Come see why we're different, and become part of the Leslie Copeland Law family. I look forward to meeting you!
